As a Style Expert, The Image Advisor will help clients
- Determine the best styles, cuts, proportions, and silhouettes for their body types;
- Determine what colors are most flattering for their complexions;
- Find their personal style based on their personalities and favorite pieces;
- Shop “smart” – in an efficient, budget-friendly way;
- Keep an eye out for sale events and hot deals on clothing and accessories;
- Determine the best hair style, makeup, and/or glasses frames for their faces;
- Organize their closet – decide what to keep, what to store, and what to give away;
- Coordinate looks for weekend, work, and evening;
- Learn how to accessorize and create the perfect, put-together outfit;
- Create a “look book” to maximize use of their clothing and accessories, and to save hours of preparation time.
While clients undergoing full transformations may choose all of the services listed below, they can choose to stop at any stage in the process and select services based on their budgets and needs.
Free phone pre-consultation
During the free pre-consultation, clients explain what they are looking for in an image consultant. They learn more about the services, discuss budget restraints, and establish a service plan and schedule.
First consultation
During the first consultation, The Image Advisor (IA) comes to the client’s home and looks at his/her clothes. To minimize time and expense, the client should clean out her closet beforehand and sort clothes by type (pants, tops, shoes, etc.). The IA will try to get a sense of the client’s personal style and suggest possible “looks” that would suit her lifestyle, body type, and personality. The IA will also have the client try on a few things and give recommendations concerning what to get rid of (or try to sell), what to store, and what sorts of changes she should make. The IA will look to see that the client has the essential wardrobe basics and help her make a list and plan for a shopping trip.
Shopping trip/s
During shopping trips, the client and IA coordinate a time and place to meet based on the client’s shopping budget and location. To minimize time and expense, The IA will have a clear plan for which stores to visit and what types of items to look for. The IA will help the client make decisions concerning what to try on and how to get the right fit. In addition, The IA will teach the client how to visualize outfits while making selections and other tips every savvy shopper should know.
Second consultation
During our second consultation, The IP comes to the client’s home and helps her put together outfits. The IP will show the client how to combine wardrobe basics with specialty pieces or trend items to create unique outfits that fit her personal style and image. If the client chooses the “look book” option, The IP will photograph these outfits so the client can have an array of casual, work-appropriate, and evening looks to choose from and to save time in the morning.
Final makeover & consultation
Some clients like to get a full makeover, particularly if they have special events coming up. As an Image Consultant, The IA can help clients not only with the outfit, but with the other details – what type of hair style would work best, what types of glasses frames would work best, and even what makeup might work best for the client’s complexion. The IA has a reservoir of referrals for services around town including hair stylists, personal trainers, tanning salons, teeth bleaching, and makeup artists. The IA can help the client choose among these professionals and to select the perfect outfit for a special event, an interview, or any other occasion.
All style consultation services are $60 per hour.
